Through him, police also caught Rajesh who was now Praveen Kumar. Both Divil & Rajesh are now 42 & 48 years old, married to school teachers, living close under fake identity. Both were elusive from Kerala & were deserters from Indian Army. 8/

Ranjini’s character was questioned by Divil & his family. That’s why she wanted a DNA test. This led to her murder & brutal killing of her 17 days old twin daughters. Hats off to Kerala Police. ♥️ I really hope other police departments are taking lessons because there are hundreds of such cases waiting to be solved. manojabraham051 May the souls of Ranjini & her kids rest in peace. 🙏 9/9

In Pathankot, Divil shared this with another Army soldier from Kerala named Rajesh. They both made a plan to kill Ranjini & her newborn. Rajesh became “Anil Kumar” & befriended family of Ranjini in hospital when she was there for her delivery in Jan, 2006. 4/

Anil Kumar also assured her that he will find Divil and bring her justice. Then he made Ranjini take another house as she was unwed mother. On 10 Feb, Anil Kumar killed Ranjini & her kids. Case shook Kerala and investigation started. Both Divil & Rajesh (as Anil Kumar) were elusive. 5/

Bingo! One old wedding picture on a facebook account was 90% match with one of recreated pic. Immediately police got active & traced the man in Puduchchery. Through CBI, police nabbed him. He was Divil, now living as Vishnu. Wedded to a school teacher. 7/

19 years ago in 2006, Ranjini and her newborn twins were found dead in her house. She was stabbed & her babies had their throats slit. Ranjini was an unwed mother living separately away from her neighbours & family. One “Anil Kumar” convinced her to do so. 2/

Please share to wake up other police departments of India. 🙏

Background- Divil Kumar & Ranjini were neighbours in Kollam, Kerala and they fell in a relationship. Ranjini became pregnant & refused to abort when Divil asked her to. Divil was in Army, posted in Pathankot. He left her by questioning legitimacy of the pregnancy. 3/

A brilliant triple-murder case solved by Kerala Police after 19 years using AI tools. Probably the first of its kind in India. 🧵 A big lesson to police forces of India and beyond. 1/

In 2010, CBI took the case but even CBI could not find them. But Kerala Police did not give up. Now in AI age, KP got a chance & they took it. Recently, they recreated present faces of Divil & Rajesh by AI, then they ran it on social media. 6/

Kerala police deserves extra praises as the case was with CBI. Most police departments just do not care about a case when it is handed over to CBI. In this case, Kerala police not only traced the man, but also found his address by AI tools. Then they forwarded a readymade case to CBI. Both criminals are now in judicial custody.
